Malta Chapter Rides with the Military đȘ
Todayâs ride was off the chain â literally! đ We rolled out with over 50 Harleys, bound for the Armed Forces of Maltaâs Military Games Day. First stop: Kettles, our HQ for breakfast and captainâs orders. Road captains got the lowdown, bikes revved, and by 9:30, Sergio dropped the hammer on the plan. We roared through Marsa, Mqabba, Qrendi, and Ć»urrieq like a parade of chrome and thunder, entering the AFM parade grounds in twos (looking sharp, we did). Once parked, the real f

Zonqor bound: Endless convoy, endless smiles
What unfolded on only the second official ride of this remarkable Malta Chapter is something few could have predicted. In a truly extraordinary turnout, no fewer than 57 Harley-Davidson motorcycles gathered for the occasionâsurpassing even the impressive attendance of the previous Sunday. What once seemed ambitious has now become reality, marking a significant milestone in the Chapterâs early journey. This ride was also notable for being an open event, welcoming guests to joi

Adieu mon ami đ§Ąđ€
What a run this has been⊠a great run⊠an amazing run⊠and yes, one hell of a blast! I never thought Iâd be the one writing this final noteâbut here we are. Life has a funny way of putting you in the riderâs seat when you least expect it. Being one of the newer members, I can honestly say that La Valette exceeded every expectation. Saying the group was âaliveâ doesnât quite cut itâit was a full-on, roaring engine. Vibrant, positive, and constantly pulling in new blood. And so

Hachi surely loves his cuddles!
The gods blessed us with some proper riding weatherâjust in time for what might have been La Valetteâs last Sunday run. 9:00 am. Kettles on. Chrome shining. Engines rumbling. Now thatâs a combination we can all get behind. As always, a strong crew turned upâgood numbers, great energy, and the usual mix of coffee, banter, and harmless debate. Topic of the day? The possible merger of LVM with Malta Chapter⊠serious stuff. But letâs be honestânone of that stood a chance once Hac

All the Ladies in the House.....Say Hi!!!
First full March weekend of the month â and we made sure to make it a good one. Friday tried to scare us a little. The weather looked like it wanted to spoil the weekend and give us a proper soaking. Instead, we just got a light drizzle. Honestly, it felt more like a quick road-cleaning service before the weekend ride. So thanks for that, Zeus. Saturday â The Usual (And We Like It That Way) Saturday means one thing: get the Harley out. Or⊠whatever bike you can get your hands

Look, the Sun!
And finally, the weather gods granted us a dry and sunny winter weekend. FINALLY! On Saturday some of us gathered at our clubhouse at WKD for the usual Garage Saturday. Itâs amazing how we always find the time â and the arguments â about bike improvements, customisations and future travel plans. Very impressive⊠and slightly suspicious đ Sunday was the day. Getting to Kettles in the morning was a bit of an ordeal. Thanks to the Malta Marathon, a lot of roads were closed to t

Love, Chrome & Hot Loud Pipes: When Garage Saturday Meets a Carnival of Passion
Itâs been a while since we last wrote about it, but Garage Saturdays still rock â and yesterday was no exception. A solid crew rolled in at WKD for the weekly catch-up: coffee in hand, plenty of banter, and the usual day-dreaming about our bikes. Because letâs be honest⊠planning the next upgrade is almost as good as riding. Almost. From WKD we cruised over to Amuri for the customary âjust one drinkâ⊠which, as always, turned into a couple. Great vibe, great company, and the

Why do Harley Riders Always Wear a Smile?
It was a quiet afternoon in a small village square in Malta. My wife and I were sitting beside our Harley, enjoying a relaxed coffee (not necessarily true) and watching the world move at its gentle Mediterranean pace. Suddenly, an elegant elderly lady approached us with a warm and curious expression. She looked at our motorcycle and asked a simple yet profound question: âWhy do motorcycle riders always have a smile?â As a proud Harleyista, I knew exactly what she meant. Her q

2026, here we come!
Our first official event of the year kicked off with the AGM. Boringly normal? Not a chance. Not with La Valette. Even though the weather gods clearly woke up on the wrong side of the clouds, the event was a real bash, with a strong turnout that proved once againâwe ride rain or shine (well⊠almost). The day didnât exactly start on a high note. Due to wet roads, strong winds, and the promise of even more rain, we had to cancel the ride. Not idealâbut safety first, chrome seco

Lord, give us a break!
And just like that⊠He did. After a full week of wind, rain, and snow (yes, real snow â not that fake hail nonsense), and knowing the coming week wasnât planning on being any kinder, we were blessed with a clear Sunday morning. And what do bikers do on a clear Sunday morning? They ride. Hell yeah, we ride. La Valette never misses moments like these. We kicked things off with an early coffee at Kettles. The usual banter, laughs, membership renewals, travel plans â in other wor

A Century on Two Wheels: The Evolution of Motorcycling in Malta
Motorcycling in Malta is often perceived today as a modern response to congestion, lifestyle freedom, or leisure culture. Yet the roots of motorcycles on the island stretch back more than a century and are deeply intertwined with Maltaâs colonial past, wartime experience, migration patterns, and changing social aspirations. Over the last hundred years, motorcycles in Malta have evolved from utilitarian military tools and working-class transport into cultural symbols, leisure

La Valette - Malta
Eight Years of Brotherhood, Harley Spirit, and the HOG Lifestyle Eight years ago, a simple need brought a group of HarleyâDavidson enthusiasts together on the island of Malta. They were riders who wanted more than just owning a Harleyâthey wanted to live the full Harley lifestyle, share the road, and create a community that stretched far beyond the islandâs shores. From that moment, La Valette Malta was born, and it has never looked back. From its earliest days, the group foc

Forget perfection. Letâs just make it a tango to remember!
New year. New calendar. Clear skies. Cool temperatures. Dry roads. Great crowd. Amazing vibes. One seriously sexy parking lot! Yes, we kicked off 2026 with a bang. The riding gods smiled upon us with a perfect winter dayâand sure as hell, we didnât waste it. It all started at Kettles. Yes, our usual haunt. Solid turnout. Plenty of catching up to do, because we hadnât seen each other since last year⊠so you know how that goes. The vibe was so good the briefing started late (su

Wrapping up a year full of adventures, smiles, and emotions all together â and what a year it has been!
We kicked off the year on full throttle, continuing the momentum that began years ago and showing no signs of slowing down. The engines keep revving, the horsepower of brotherhood keeps growing, and our shared love and passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles â with the true H.O.G. mindset â continues to evolve. Riding, meeting people, and building friendships on the road is a journey that never stops. January We started the year on 5th January with the first ride of the year,

Harleys got big engines⊠and even bigger hearts
Yes, the riding for 2025 is done. But before we parked the bikes, we had one last mission to handle â charity. Yes, our members are solid. Yes, our Ladies of Harley are something special. And yes, this puts La Valette top of the league â we show up, others try to keep up. So what was today? Just a normal Tuesday in December⊠or so it looked. Our own Phyllis (LOH), backed up by a few members, rolled out to deliver goodies and essential supplies to Fondazzjoni Sebħ in ÄŠamrun. T

Ho Ho Ho⊠Christmas season with La Valette â and letâs be honest, nobody does festive chaos quite like us.
December kicked off with our traditional showdown: humans vs. Christmas tree. We met at WKD on Saturday morning, bravely ready to take on this monumental task. Spirits were high⊠and for safety reasons, we armed ourselves with mulled wine and mince pies. Purely for morale, of course. With a dozen supervisors and only two actual workers, the job went surprisingly smoothly. Funny how that happens. The morning cruised by like a dream â garage Saturdays always have their own char

A chilly Inverno it was!
We just boarded the ferry on our way back to the Rock after the HOG Inverno event in Salerno⊠and wow, what a weekend! Memories, memories, memories. Yes, itâs HOG Inverno. Yes, it was cold. Yes, we had some beautiful sunny days. And yes, we also got our fair share of rain on the road. All as expected⊠or was it? Truth is, every HOG event is special, and this yearâs Inverno was no exception. As usual, La Valette rolled in strong to join our Etna Chapter buddies. Some rode all

HELMETS THROUGH HISTORY
For much of their history, motorcycle helmets have been as much about self-expression as protectionâand the earliest helmets didnât provide much of the latter. Back when football players wore soft leather helmets, motorcycles were just starting to dot the American countryside and city streets. Speeds were lower and there was no traffic density. Those first motorcycle âhelmetsâ were made of thin leather or cloth, and primarily succeeded in keeping the wearerâs hair in place. T

HOG Hearts, Children's Smiles
After months of planning, fundraising, and countless hours of hard work by our amazing LOH (seriously, you make us all proud!), the big charity weekend finally arrived. But letâs take it step by step. Saturday was pure fun. A solid group of us met at WKD to prepare the San Martin bags. Massive thanks to our generous sponsorsâAlfsons, Christian Micallef, Maypole, Sottozero, Cala Lido and Keys Pub. Without your contributions, none of this would have been possible. You rockâfull
