Prep work

And so it came to pass that the two most important events this month: The International Ladies of Harley celebration in Pescara Italy and the equally much awaited 25th Anniversary of the Etna Chapter participant's meeting happened on Wednesday the 30th of September, 2026.

The Ladies of Harley meeting took place at The Chapels at 7pm and right after at 8pm the meeting for the members driving to Acireale to celebrate with our friends at the Etna Chapter and our sponsoring dealership too.

The Ladies of course so ably led by Phyllis and Barbra were full of enthusiasm joyfully discussing meeting times, ferry tickets and some also shared ride logistics as we had 4 LOH actually braving the autostrada all the way to Pescara on their iron horses! Some Ladies caught commercial flights to Pescara too bringing their contingent to a very strong representation of our dear Malta Chapter spreading its wings abroad. Needless to say these amazing Ladies of Harley always and never fail to make us all proud!

Then for the Etna Anniversary Chapter meeting we were regaled by an amazing Power Point presentation by our intrepid ambassador Gordon who is the organiser and orchestrator of our trip there. His presentation went into a very detailed step by step plan of action never leaving no doubt by the participants what, when and where we should be at any time as is Gordon's impeccable way of doing things! Jean our beloved President also reminded us all of our group riding rules and expected behaviour on the road to Acireale and our booked hotel the President Park hotel. Question and answer time followed with needless to say lots of humour and tongue in cheek quips flying across the room too!

Then, as is customary after these meetings some members adjourned to the Bar while others ordered food and sat down to a sumptuous dinner and all the while the quips never stopped of course too!

What an evening of sharing and laughter among friends and members this was! In the end they all got up to go home but not before umpteen bon voyages and well wishes for good luck on the road to these two amazing events. Let no one say the Malta Chapter does not spread its wings across the vast Harley Owners Group world!
