And a Beautiful Sunset it was.

The summer heat is on but our intrepid bikers were not to be deterred last Friday evening! 40 bikes turned up to Kettles for the planned official Malta Chapter sunset ride. Hellos and "aw bro!" were exchanged as usual, then all sat down to the signatory meticulous briefing.

Road Captains Sergio and Silvio explained the intricacies of the planned route taking the riders from there to medieval Rabat, under the old citadel of Medina, onto the farmer's delight Mgarr and down to Ghajn tuffieha bypass doubling back to Xemxija and the Coast road. Then a quick turn into the Salina Hotel and the final destination; Vecchia Napoli restaurant, were reserved parking was the icing on the cake for this ride! Throughout the ride members enjoyed an evening spectacle of light as thousands of hues of orange and pink danced on their visors as the sun set! What an enjoyable experience and one shared at lower and much cooler temperatures too, the essence of these summer evening rides.

The hungry bikers flocked onto a long table prepared with love by the restaurant's staff. They had to keep on extending this table a few times too to accommodate all members! During the sumptuous meal that ensued, members could try on the sizes of the HOG Malta Chapter summer T-shirts and place their orders too! As always, excellent fun was had by all until it was time for hugs and goodbyes.
Another milestone in the Chapter's long list of great rides shared enthusiastically and always one to remember. Many a group photograph was taken with our HOG Malta Chapter banners for posterity and the generations of members to come.
Long live the Malta Chapter 💪
