HOG's Day by the Pool

The Delimara farmhouse was buzzing! A big crowd turned up for the Malta Chapter BBQ on July 11th, and lots of members even brought their kids and family along. Our 'Summer Sizzle' lived up to the name. The pool was the place to be — plenty of splashing, water chases, and the odd friendly dunking. And of course there were lots of chats and catch-ups while floating about.

All of this was set to pop and rock 'n' roll, generously provided by our events DJ, Oliver.

The farmhouse was the perfect venue for us, with plenty of space including sun decks, a kitchen, and the highlight of the day — the BBQ area. We had not one, but two large gas BBQs to cook our steaks, chicken thighs, and jacket potatoes in true DIY style. Head chefs Pierre and Kevin braved the intense heat to make sure everything was cooked to perfection. We then all sat around the tables for a big family-style meal, full of laughter and good company, sharing sausages, drinks, and of course... the wine. Oh, that wine!

True to form, Director Jean and Exco members Silvio, Sergio and Tonio gave us a quick pep talk about what’s coming up next. Then the music went up and everyone hit the dance floor. Plenty of disco moves on display, with our Ladies of Harley leading the way as usual. They always put on a great show!

All good things come to an end, and eventually the night wound down. People started heading home, but no one wanted it to finish. What a night it was! Smiles, goodbyes, hugs and kisses everywhere. And the verdict was unanimous — we have to do this again, and soon!

If that’s not proof that this first 'Summer Sizzle' is one of the Malta Chapter’s best events ever, I don’t know what is.
