Proper Preparation Prevents Poor Performance!

The second Malta HOG RALLY is officially 14 days away! So it was time to rally the troops, pardon the pun (!) to brief and inform them of this great event.

Today 38 volunteer Chapter members answered the call for boots on the ground with great enthusiasm, hope and joy in their hearts for another exciting rally now on our doorstep. Castello dei Baroni provided an excellent back drop for this meeting today.

Our dear Director Jean stood up to give us a background rendition to all the valuable work our EXCO had already done as evidenced by the great number of foreign participants from other European chapters coming this year ... 200 plus... yep that's right, more than two hundred foreign Hog Chapter members on their way to Malta in 2 weekend's time, not to mention the local Malta Chapter members whose participation in the event did not disappoint! Which... wait for it... Jean said "we are therefore fully booked"! What a satisfying result well done EXCO and our intrepid Chapter Ambassador Gordon too!

Jean then went on to highlight the sectors where we, the volunteers can help and assist with both in the coming weeks and on the Rally days itself. From meeting and greeting the participants coming off the ferry or their international flights, a service unique to the Malta Rally to manning Rally registration desks upon arrival at the hotel, main dinner and party venues too. To packing the wonderful Rally Packs with the official T-shirt and other goodies as ordered by the foreign and Maltese participants alike. And the very real logistics in moving around the Rally décor, the H-D inflatables, posters and banners from one venue to the next and as the saying goes many hands make light work there were more than enough showing of hands to rise to these calls! What a great team of willing and enthusiastic helpers we had today! Now that's the true spirit of the Malta Chapter brotherhood and the amazing Ladies of Harley too!

Of course once today's meeting was adjourned then they all heard a deep rumble, not of Harley engines but their own tummies! Off to Zmerc in Balzan they went where sumptuous food awaited. Of course all the fun and laughter followed too!

What a day, what a successful helper meeting and what an amazing and remarkable Malta Rally 2026 we are going to have people! SOLD OUT! SOLD OUT!
